David's paintings are inspired by his extensive travels throughout Canada, the United States, Europe, India and The Himalayas. He is a self taught artist who translates his experiences into images of magnificent scenery, employing texture and vibrant oil colours as his medium.

Born in Toronto, David has lived in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Ontario. As a young boy he spent time camping and hiking in the mountains and foothills and later in life enjoyed many alpine backpacking, climbing and trekking adventures in the Canadian Rockies and Nepal.

His paintings attempt to capture the complex beauty of our beautiful country, the scale, the seemingly infinite horizons and the constantly changing cloud patterns.

Much of his recent work is focussed on the countryside surrounding Stratford where he spends many hours biking the quiet back roads of Perth County.

David is retired and currently lives in Stratford with his wife Kathryn.
